When I first began visiting Mansfield House of Prayer in 2014, I had been a Christian for 13 years. Up until this time, I never knew there was a greater place of peace and rest available to me. I had always been about “doing” something for God and not just “being” in His presence. The leaders taught me by their example how to learn to be quiet and sit still long enough to hear the voice of the Lord for myself. Learning how to hear God’s voice and entering into an intimate face-to-face relationship with Jesus has helped me to grow and mature in my walk with the Lord. I am so blessed to have found my way to MHOP as it came at a time of great transition in my life. It gave me a place to sit and rest in the presence of the Lord while journaling about my cares and concerns, often seeking His direction for my life. I especially appreciate that honor and love is present in the leaders and volunteers. As they serve with humility they have ministered to me and have been there to pray and agree with me as the Word instructs us to do. The safe and peaceful atmosphere of the prayer room is one of freedom where the Spirit of the Lord is. It has also been a place of great comfort and peace for me during times of trial and testing. I appreciate that the prayer room is open at various days and times of the week offering additional support to attending Church on Sunday. It has given me a place to go when I need to be strengthened and encouraged. The worship and prayer ushers in the gentle breeze of Jesus, whisking me away into the loving arms of our Savior. After a long week, it is so refreshing to visit the prayer room and experience the tangible presence of the Lord. Often at times, it is hard to leave this place as His presence is so real, tender and sweet! I am so grateful that my family and I have a safe place to enjoy real fellowship with others in the love of God!
